The Glenn Dale man bought a $10 Bingo X10 7th Edition scratch-off at Anna’s Deli Plus at 11512 Middlebrook Road in Germantown, picking out a random scratcher selection alongside of it.

The man said he typically scratches off the prize check area on his instant tickets and scans them for a win — and that’s precisely how he learned of his lottery luck.

“I was down to the last two that I purchased,” the man told lottery officials.

“When I scanned the very last one, it showed a $100,000 win. I was blown away.”

Still in shock, the husband took a photo and texted it to his wife, who had been trying her luck, ironically, at bingo.

“He called me and asked if I received his text message,” recalled the wife.

“When I saw the winning ticket, I thought he was playing with me.”

The pair shared their news with close family members before claiming their $100,000 prize at headquarters in Baltimore.

The winner says he plans to use the money to pay off bills, enjoy some family time, and stock the rest away in savings.

The win marks the first $100,000 top-prize for the Bingo X10 7th Edition card.

There are five top prizes remaining. Also up for grabs are 20 $10,000 prizes and nearly 875,000 others ranging from $10 to $1,000.
